Youth Suicide Statistics

Now the second leading cause of death in American youth ages 10-34 years old, suicide causes more deaths in one year than does heart disease, cancer, AIDS, birth defects, influenza, pneumonia, and chronic lung disease COMBINED. One thing is certain, youth suicide poses and existential threat to America’s youth and is perhaps the most deadly health crisis our generation will face. As such each day that passes wherein this issue remains shrouded in silence, and plagued by inaction and proper leadership, is another day that we lose our young, lives cut far too short, ending before they even fully begun.
